The Baylor Angel Network is operated by Baylor University faculty, staff and students. BAN is part of the Hankamer School of Business and operates at the discretion of Dean Sandeep Mazumder.
Steven Diedrich, Executive Director
Steven Diedrich is the Executive Director of the Baylor Angel Network (BAN). In this role, Steven leads the strategy of the network, including the related Fund management, stakeholder engagement and teaches the Entrepreneurial Finance course at Baylor.
Early in his career Steven worked as a consultant at Accenture and as an associate at Stanmore Partners, a real estate development and investment firm.
Steven earned a Master of Finance from Texas A&M University and was a graduate of the Business Fellows honors program at Baylor University where he holds a BBA in Finance and Economics.
Jacob Kehoe, Associate Director
Jacob Kehoe is the Associate Director of the Baylor Angel Network (BAN). In this role, Jacob assists with the operations of the network, deal sourcing and assessment, investment and communications strategies, and operational oversight of BAN’s student analysts.
Recently, he held the position of Assistant Director at Startup Waco, where he provided guidance to numerous startups, managed incubators and accelerators, and established the GXG program, which offers support to Baylor athletes via NIL initiatives. While at Startup Waco, Jacob also served as a Capital Access Manager for Kiva, facilitating local businesses in securing funding through impact investments.
Before this role, he gained experience in various industries, including technology, finance, and automotive, by working with multiple startups. During his collegiate years, he founded a machine-learning startup that utilized drones for roofing damage assessments. This venture ended with a successful acquisition shortly after his graduation from Baylor University in 2019. Additionally, Jacob possesses Series 63 and SIE licenses.
Hayden Allen, Venture Associate
Hayden grew up in Seattle, Washington, and attended Baylor University for his Undergraduate degree, where he is returning to pursue his Masters of Accountancy. While at Baylor, Hayden participated in BAN as an analyst and will now be continuing as the Venture Associate for the group. While in undergraduate, Hayden was involved with the Baylor Endowment’s Small Cap portfolio & completed internships Capital Market advisory and corporate investment office roles. Additionally, Hayden enjoys skiing and golfing during his free-time.
